COAS Meets Troops at LOC, Emphasizes Support for Local Population

RAWALPINDI: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Syed Asim Munir visited forward areas along the Line of Control (LOC) on Wednesday and was briefed on the situation and operational preparedness of deployed formations, ISPR said in a press release.

During his visit, COAS met with officers and troops on the forward positions and emphasized upon them to extend all-out support to the local population, remain steadfast, and discharge their duties with utmost sincerity and devotion.

According to ISPR, the COAS appreciated officers and troops for maintaining continued vigil, remarkable operational preparedness, and a high state of morale. He further reiterated that the Pakistan Army is resolved to defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Pakistan against all kinds of threats and is determined to support the just cause of Kashmiris, seeking a resolution of Jammu and Kashmir in accordance with UN resolutions.

Earlier on his arrival at the LOC, the COAS was received by the Corps Commander Rawalpindi Corps.

The visit of the COAS sends a clear message to the troops that the Pakistan Army is fully committed to ensuring the security and well-being of the local population while also defending the country’s borders.
