ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted that most areas across the country are expected to experience mainly very cold and dry weather over the next twelve hours, with upper districts and north Balochistan experiencing partly cloudy conditions.
Isolated areas in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and the Pothohar region may witness light rain and snowfall over mountainous regions. Dense fog and smog are likely to persist in the plain areas of Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, and upper Sindh, contributing to very cold temperatures.
This morning’s recorded temperatures for major cities are as follows: Islamabad at nine degrees Celsius, Lahore at eight, Karachi at sixteen, Peshawar and Quetta at six, Gilgit at two, Murree at one, and Muzaffarabad at three degrees Celsius.
In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the forecast indicates cloudy weather with chances of light rain in Srinagar, and light rain and snow in Leh, Pulwama, Shopian, and Anantnag. Shopian and Baramula are expected to be partly cloudy and very cold. Jammu is forecast to experience partly cloudy conditions, cold weather, and dense fog.
