Weather Update: Cold, Dry Weather Expected in Most Parts of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The majority of the country will experience predominantly cold and dry weather over the next twelve hours, with upper districts anticipating partly cloudy skies. Meanwhile, regions like Gilgit-Baltistan, Chitral, and their surroundings may encounter light rain and snowfall in high-altitude areas.

Expect lingering smog and fog in upper Sindh, the plains of Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly during morning and night hours.

This morning’s temperatures in major cities were as follows: Islamabad and Peshawar at five degrees Celsius, Lahore at ten, Karachi at seventeen, Quetta at two, Gilgit and Murree at four, and Muzafarabad at six degrees Celsius.

The forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir suggests cold and dry conditions in Srinagar and Jammu, partly cloudy and cold weather in Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramulla, while Leh is expected to experience partly cloudy and extremely cold weather.

Recorded temperatures this morning were: Srinagar at minus two degrees Celsius, Jammu at ten, Leh at minus nine, Anantnag and Shopian at minus one, and Baramulla at zero degrees Celsius.
