ISLAMABAD: Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in various parts of Pakistan, while very cold in northern parts during the next 12 hours.
Smog and fog are likely to persist in plain areas of Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and upper Sindh.
This morning’s temperature observations in major cities are as follows: Islamabad and Muzafarabad recorded five degrees Celsius, Lahore and Quetta at nine degrees, Karachi at eighteen degrees, Peshawar at seven degrees, Gilgit at zero degrees, and Murree at four degrees Celsius.

The weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir indicates very cold and partly cloudy conditions in Srinagar and Leh. Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramulla are expected to be very cold and dry, while Jammu is predicted to experience cold and dry weather with fog.
Morning temperature recordings in the region are as follows: Srinagar at two degrees Celsius, Jammu at six degrees, Leh at minus four degrees, Pulwama and Baramulla at one degree, and Anantnag and Shopian at zero degrees Celsius.
