Weather Update: Rain in Islamabad, Snow in Northern Areas of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The forecast for the next twelve hours indicates predominantly cold conditions with partial cloud cover across most parts of the country.

However, the upper regions are expected to experience overcast skies. Anticipated precipitation includes rain and snowfall in Gilgit-Baltistan, Upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and surrounding hilly areas, with a chance of drizzle in the Pothohar region during the morning. Some plain areas of Punjab and upper Sindh may experience shallow to moderate fog.

This morning’s temperatures in major cities were recorded as follows: Islamabad and Peshawar at eleven degrees Celsius, Lahore at twelve, Karachi at nineteen, Quetta at ten, Gilgit at six, Murree at two, and Muzafarabad at eight degrees Celsius.

The weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir indicates cloudy conditions with the possibility of snow in Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula. Conversely, Jammu is expected to experience cloudy weather with chances of rain and drizzle.

This morning’s temperatures were recorded as follows: Srinagar, Pulwama, and Baramula at two degrees Celsius, Jammu at ten, Leh at minus-four, and Anantang and Shopian at one degree Celsius.
