KARACHI: Syed Junaid Ali Shah, the Caretaker Minister for Sports and Culture in Sindh, alongside Ahmed Shah, Minister for Information, Minority Affairs, and Social Protection, disclosed that the Sindh Premier League (SPL) 2024 is set to kick off on January 25.
The announcement took place during a press conference held at the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi. The SPL is scheduled to run until February 05 at the National Bank Stadium Karachi. Among the attendees were SPL President Arif Malik, along with cricket stalwarts Abdul Razzaq and Chaudhry Shehzad.
The inaugural season of SPL will witness the participation of all six franchise teams from Sindh province. Notably, the ministers declared that the first day of SPL would be open to the public without any entry fee. Minister Syed Junaid Ali Shah emphasized that SPL serves as a valuable platform for nurturing the young talent in Sindh.
Expressing gratitude, Abdul Razzaq acknowledged the efforts of the Sindh government in organizing SPL and commended the ministers for their unwavering support. SPL President Arif Malik shared that the league’s official anthem would be released on January 25.
