ISLAMABAD: COMSTECH-the OIC Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation has called for applications from the citizens of OIC member states having exceptional scientific contributions for the awards to be given in different categories.
COMSTECH usually confers biennial awards to distinguished researchers of OIC member states for their extraordinary scientific contributions.
The COMSTECH lifetime achievement usually gives awards in basic sciences in the fields of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. For the current year, nominations are required in Physics and Mathematics, where each award in the current category consists of a certificate and shield of honor with a cash prize of US$8000.
COMSTECH Awards
They has classified the awards for Excellence in Science and Technology into four categories: The COMSTECH Young Researcher Award for under 40 years, Best Scientific Book Authorship Award, published by an international publisher during the last two years (2021 and 2022), Patent, where the Patent must have been registered during the past five years (2018-2022).
Each of the above three awards comprises a certificate, shield of honor, and cash prize of US$4000.
The Best Research Paper awards are presented for the best paper published in an impact factor international journal through the last two years (2021 and 2022) in the fields of Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics.
Each discipline’s Best Research Paper award comprises a certificate, shield of honor, and cash prize of US$2500.
The deadline for sending the application is March 31, 2023, and citizens of all 57 OIC states are eligible to apply for the COMSTECH Awards. – APP
