SANTA CLARA:  Colombian side came from behind to seize a 1-1 draw against Brazil on Tuesday, ensuring their qualification for the quarter-finals in the Copa America.  An equalizer from Daniel Munoz in first half stop page time was enough to earn Colombia a share of the spoils following Raphinha had fired Brazilians into the lead with a sublime 12th-minute free-kick in Santa Clara.

The result means Colombia advance to the knockout rounds as conquerors of Group D, where they will face Panama in Glendale on Saturday. But Tuesday’s draw means Brazilian will confront a titanic showdown in Las Vegas on Saturday against Uruguay, winners of Group D with a good record.

Brazil goalscorer Raphinha said that his side is evolving with each game, with each training session, adding they are on the right track.  He hoped that they will perform better in the next round and expressed reservations over the present position of the team in the tournament.

Brazil will head into the next without Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr, who picked up his second yellow card of the event for a reckless early foul on James Rodriguez.

Earlier, other Group D game Costa Rica defeated Paraguay 2-1 in Austin to finish in third position.
