ZHOB: On January 22, 2024, a significant counterterrorism operation unfolded during an intelligence-based mission in Sambaza Sector, Zhob District, near the Pakistan-Afghan border. The operation, conducted by Pakistani security forces, effectively surrounded and engaged a group of terrorists attempting to flee the area. As a result, seven militants involved in various terrorist activities against security forces and the killing of innocent civilians were neutralized.
The security forces recovered arms, ammunition, and explosives from the eliminated terrorists. Following the encounter, a thorough sanitization operation has been initiated to ensure the complete elimination of any remaining terrorists in the area. This operation underscores the unwavering determination of Pakistan’s Security Forces to eradicate the menace of terrorism and maintain stability along the border regions.
