ISLAMABAD: A local court in Islamabad on Sunday approved extension in the physical remand of PTI’s leader Azam Khan Swati for a day in the controversial tweet’s case.
Azam Khan Swati was produced before the court while Duty Magistrate heard the case. On the occasion the prosecutor pleaded the court that physical remand of Azam Swati should be extended because it is necessary to recover the mobile phone through which the PTI’s leader posted the controversial tweet.
The prosecutor said that the investigation officer needs more time to probe the matter.
After that the court granted another one-day extension in the physical remand of Azam Swati in the case and also ordered to produce the accused by Monday (tomorrow).
