CPEC Boosts Regional Connectivity and Opportunities: China

BEIJING: China on Tuesday said that China-Pakistan relations were strengthened by mutual support and cooperation between the two countries.

In a meeting with a visiting Press Corps delegation from Balochistan province, Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Nong Rong emphasized the importance of mutually beneficial cooperation, highlighting the positive impact it can have on all Pakistani people, including those in the Balochistan province.

Nong Rong reaffirmed the strong bond between China and Pakistan, describing them as “ironclad friends” who consistently support each other during challenging times.

He further expressed China’s commitment to the high-quality development of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and its willingness to deepen industrial cooperation with Pakistan while expediting the implementation of projects aimed at improving people’s livelihoods.

Nong Rong acknowledged the rapid development of the Gwadar Port in recent years, highlighting its positive impact on the local population. He encouraged the media to report on these developments and underscored the importance of creating a secure and predictable business environment for mutually beneficial progress and security.

The visiting press corps delegation conveyed the consensus among various sectors in Pakistan regarding their friendship with China. They highlighted the significant role played by Gwadar Port, infrastructure projects, healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and more in enhancing regional connectivity and generating employment opportunities.

China’s Support for Balochistan

The delegation eagerly anticipated China’s continued strong support for the development of Balochistan province, aiming to bring even greater benefits to its residents. They expressed their willingness to bridge the “information gap” between the people of Balochistan province and the Chinese people, contributing to the further development of China-Pakistan relations.
