ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Murtaza Solangi, has said that new avenues of cooperation and coordination between Pakistan and China have been opened, whereas the future of the relations between the two friendly countries seems highly bright.
According to Radio Pakistan, the minister said this in a special interview with China Radio International here on Monday, adding that the long-lasting friendly relations between Pakistan and China have been entered into a new era after the beginning of the projects via the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
The minister further said that both countries were in continuous liaison and cooperation in the fields of information technology, special economic zones, agriculture, agro-based industries, mining, and tourism to take this sector to new heights under the CPEC.
Minister Lauds China’s Belt and Road Initiative
Solangi lauded China’s Belt and Road Initiative, adding that the move has been appreciated and got applause from the world, whereas Central Asian countries were already implementing the initiative. He admired the vision of Chinese President Xi Jinping for having a universal approach.
The minister also stressed the successful collaboration between Radio Pakistan and China Radio International, where Pakistani professionals learned valuable insights from their Chinese counterparts and returned to Pakistan with rich experiences.
The Information Minister highlighted the importance of the media in portraying the positive impact of CPEC projects on the lives of local people.
