Cricket WC: New Zealand Plays Sri Lanka in Crucial Group Stage Match Today

BENGALURU, India: New Zealand plays a crucial Cricket World Cup match with Sri Lanka at Bengaluru in India today with a 90 percent chances of rain.

The Black Caps cannot afford losing this match or even a draw in the event of rain as a washed-out match with 1 point each for Sri Lanka and New Zealand will mean that either Pakistan and Afghanistan could surpass the Black Caps on the Points Table.

The maximum temperature will be around 27 degrees with showers predicted for the afternoon. There will be about 76 percent humidity with 87 percent cloud cover over the city. Around 6.9mm of rain is predicted for today afternoon.

Even in evening, there is 90 percent possibility of rain with 4.1mm of rain predicted for the second half of the match.

New Zealand currently have 8 points after playing 7 matches and are placed fourth on the Points Table. The team suffered from four successive losses towards the end of group stage matches. A washed-out match with 1 point each for New Zealand and Sri Lanka and will mean that either Pakistan and Afghanistan could surpass the Black Caps on the Points Table.

Bengaluru has been batter’s paradise and the team winning the toss will be possibly chase like Pakistan in the last match keeping in mind the weather factor.
