Cricket World Cup 2023 Opening Ceremony Postponed

AHMEDABAD: The opening ceremony of the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 has been delayed due to ‘technical’ reasons, local media reported on Tuesday.

According to the media reports, the opening ceremony, was scheduled to be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Oct 4, 2023, but was postponed due to technical issue.

As per reports the BCCI will hold the opening ceremony before the Pakistan vs India match on October 14.

Neither the Indian cricket board nor the ICC made any announcement in this regard.

Earlier, there were reports that several Bollywood and music industry celebrities would perform at the opening ceremony to enthrall the cricket fans.

World Cup to open with New Zealand vs England clash

The inaugural match of the World Cup will be played between New Zealand and England on October 5, followed by Pakistan’s opening match against the Netherlands on October 6.

The cricketing world is eagerly awaiting the high-stakes clash between Pakistan and India, d on October 14 in Ahmedabad, promising fans an exciting contest.
