CST, Boeing Launch Training Program for Space Engineering Students

RIYADH: The Communications, Space, and Technology Commission (CST) has made arrangement for a month-long practical training program for students studying aerospace engineering, in cooperation with Boeing, a global leader in the aerospace sector, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

According to the SPA, Boeing specializes in designing and manufacturing aircraft, space systems, and defense systems, and also offers excellent training opportunities for graduates and students in various related sectors.

The SPA reported that the CST also indicated that the training program aims to invest in talents nationwide, acquire practical experience in the space field, and also develop human capabilities in aerospace engineering and sciences.

The commission said that the program also seeks to enhance professional growth as wells as skills development in space technologies, preparing students for the job market by involving them in different projects.

The program is divided into two stages: the theoretical phase, held at a Boeing facility in Texas, which includes NASA architectural design studies from the moon to Mars, and the practical phase, held at a company site in Alabama, which also involves working on applied projects such as the Carbon Dioxide Removal System for lunar and Martian applications.

The step is part of many training and educational programs launched by the Communications, Space, and Technology Commission in cooperation with local and global partners, leveraging different expertise and competencies.

It aims to enhance capabilities in the space sector and sciences, serving as a main contributor to progress and positively impacting the future of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its promising generations.
