The current turn of events is turning into a disaster. All political parties hold their positions very strongly, and they have made the people and masses into a fighter militia.

Not a single voter is found mild. It is not the case in Pakistan; the same as in India, in the USA, and in many other parts of the world. Trump in the USA, Modi in BJP ruling in India and in many other nations, are turning the heat and spreading extremism and hatred among their masses. More predicament is that people in hoards are following them.

It seems nations have lost the sense of losing a match. They lose, and they lose their temper with it. Nothing is coming into control. We are playing with fire. Every day fire is getting out of hand.

After completing a year in governance, PDM failed miserably in managing the economy but also failed politically, as it could not control the economy. This favored the previous regime of Khan as portrayed in the bye-elections. That left them with no choice but to use every time of means to hold strong on the grip of the government, whatsoever may come on their way.

PTI was rescued by the courts at every turn in the last year, with their clout of street power as a nuisance. That PTI thought to use as a tool in every future solution whenever they are in any problem.

Masses are turning violent after they are under the grip of so-called social media pressure. Social media is providing them with so much information, most of which is propaganda, and that is working well. It’s a dangerous turn of events on every hand.

Last PTI Government

Almost a year back, the country was being led by Prime Minister Imran Khan and his party, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), but there were a number of opposition parties and factions who were critical of his leadership and policies.

One major issue was the economy, which was struggling due to high inflation, a growing trade deficit, and a heavy debt burden. This led to protests and strikes by various groups, including traders, labor unions, and opposition parties.

Another major issue was corruption, which many Pakistanis saw as a major problem in the country’s political system. Imran Khan and the PTI had campaigned on an anti-corruption platform and had promised to root out corrupt politicians and officials, but many critics argued that their efforts had been insufficient and that corruption remained rampant in many areas of government.

Additionally, there were ongoing tensions between Pakistan and India over the disputed region of Kashmir, and Pakistan was also facing pressure from the international community to do more to combat terrorism and extremism.

Overall, the political situation in Pakistan was complex and multi-faceted, with a range of economic, social, and security challenges facing the country.

Elections in 2023

The next general election in Pakistan are expected to be held in 2023. The current government led by Prime Minister Imran Khan and his party, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was expected to seek re-election, and the opposition parties were also expected to contest the election.

However, the political situation in Pakistan is constantly evolving, and it is difficult to predict what will happen in the lead-up to the election. In the past, elections in Pakistan have been marred by allegations of rigging, voter intimidation, and violence, and there were concerns that these issues could resurface in 2023.

Furthermore, there were also concerns about the potential impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the election. In the past, election campaigns in Pakistan have involved large rallies and gatherings, which could potentially spread the virus. It remains to be seen how the government and political parties will adapt to the ongoing pandemic and what impact this will have on the election.

PDM’s Power is Weakening Day by Day

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) are the two major ruling parties in Pakistan now.

The PML-N is led by former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter, Maryam Nawaz. His younger brother Shehbaz Sharif is ruling the PDM collation government now.

They have a seemingly significant support base in Punjab, the country’s largest province, and have traditionally been one of the major political parties in Pakistan. However, in recent years, the party has faced a number of challenges, including corruption allegations, legal battles, and a crackdown by the government.

The PDM is a coalition of opposition parties that was formed in 2020 in an attempt to challenge the government led by Prime Minister Imran Khan and his party, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

The PDM includes the PML-N, as well as other parties such as the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F). The PDM has held a number of rallies and protests against the government, but its efforts to challenge the government have been hampered by internal divisions and legal challenges.

It remains to be seen how the ruling coalition of the PML-N and PDM will perform in the next election, which is scheduled to be held in 2023. The political situation in Pakistan is complex and constantly evolving, and there are a range of factors that could influence the outcome of the election, including economic conditions, security concerns, and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
