KARACHI: Dania Shah was granted bail by the Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday in a case involving the objectionable video leak of her late husband, Aamir Liaquat Hussain.
In December 2022, the FIA cybercrime circle in Karachi arrested Dania Shah, the former wife of Aamir Liaquat Hussain, from Lodhran, in the obscene video leak case. The SHC ordered police to release late Aamir Liaquat’s wife from jail after accepting bail against surety bonds of Rs200,000.
It is worth noting that Dania Shah, the widow of late televangelist Aamir Liaquat Hussain, challenged her arrest in the SHC last month in an objectionable video case. She claimed in her petition that the FIA had illegally detained her and had failed to meet legal requirements despite submitting responses to the agency.

The FIA arrested the former wife of late televangelist Aamir Liaquat Hussain in an obscene video leak case in December last year. Hussain’s daughter reportedly requested that the FIA take action against Dania Shah for spreading obscene videos of Aamir Liaquat Hussain on social media.
