Lahore: Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has predicted that the Pakistan rupee is going to get strength in coming days.

While addressing a press conference here on Saturday the minister said that appreciation of dollar against the rupee is artificial and a manipulated move.

He added that after taking charge as finance minister the rupee has appreciated and likely to get further strength against US dollar. He also put a warning to the manipulators, “ I warn those involved in artificial appreciation of dollar against rupee, as strict action will be taken against them,”

Some of the Financial experts and currency dealers attributes the rupee’s recovery to Mr Dar’s return as the new finance minister. They believe the Darnomics approach is likely to have a different view about the exchange rate and may opt for forced devaluation of the dollar as the minister did in the late nineties and then in 2013-onward.
