HAIL, Saudi Arabia: The Fankha Dates Festival 2024 has kicked off in the Hail city of Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Friday.
The 10-day event is organized by the regional branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in collaboration with various government entities and the private sector.
Director General of the Ministry in the region Dr. Fahad Al-Hassani on the occasion said that the festival seeks to promote farmers by showcasing the variety of their date products, for which Al Kahfa area of Hail is renowned, and to facilitate marketing opportunities.
“It also aims to provide platforms for over 15 families working in the cottage industry to exhibit their various products,” he said.
