NEW YORK:  Three daughters of Malcolm X have alleged the CIA, FBI, the New York Police Department and others in a $100 million lawsuit Friday of playing roles in the 1965 assassination of the civil rights leader.

According the Associated Press, in the lawsuit filed in Manhattan federal court, the daughters of the right activist claimed that these agencies were aware about the alleged plot and failed to stop it.

At a news conference, attorney Ben Crump expressed hope that federal and city authorities would read it “and learn all the immoral deeds that were done by their predecessors and attempt to right these wrongs.”

According to the AP, the NYPD and CIA did not respond to requests for comment over the new development.

A spokesperson for the Department of Justice declined comment over the claim of Malcolm X. The FBI stated in an email that it was its “standard practice” not to comment on such matter.

The US media reported that three individuals were convicted of crimes in the death but two of them were acquitted in 2021 following investigators took a fresh look at the case and concluded some evidence was instable and officials had held back some information.

In the lawsuit, the family of Malcolm X stated that the prosecution team repressed the government’s role in the assassination.

The fresh lawsuit alleges that there was a “corrupt, illegal, and unconstitutional” relationship between law enforcement and Killers.

Malcolm X’s wife and their entire family have suffered the pain of the unknown for several decades, the lawsuit says.

The AP reported that the family had announced its intention to sue the law enforcement agencies early last year.
