KARACHI: Karachi witnessed the largest robbery of the year, as a daring heist unfolded in broad daylight in the Korangi area. A businessman, who had recently withdrawn Rs 8 million from a local bank, fell victim to the robbery.
According to reports, the perpetrators, riding a motorcycle, strategically targeted the businessman outside the bank. CCTV footage obtained by the police revealed a calculated approach, with one suspect entering the bank for reconnaissance while the others waited outside.
The suspect identified as Saeed Alam was recognized through CCTV footage, leading law enforcement to actively pursue his arrest. The police have registered a case and are examining over 14 different cases registered against Alam in various police stations.
The audacity of the crime and the significant amount stolen have heightened concerns, prompting law enforcement to intensify efforts to apprehend the suspect and bring him to justice. The incident underscores the importance of enhanced security measures to prevent such daring daylight robberies in the future.
