RAMALLAH: Palestinian authorities said on Tuesday that as many as eleven people have been killed in the recent aggression of Israel against the city of Jenin.
On Tuesday evening, the Palestinian Ministry for Health Affairs confirmed that a young person from Jenin was killed by Israeli forces.
Death Toll in Israel’s Jenin Offensive Climbs to Eleven
Thousands of Palestinians were forcibly evacuated from refugee camp in Jenin as one of Israel’s major West Bank army operations in years continued for a 2nd day on Tuesday.
The offensive was carried out with a drone attack and the deployment over 1,000 forces on Monday.
The populated refugee camp in Jenin, home to more than 14,000 people, has been one of the central points of a fresh wave of violence that has swept the region for more than a year, resulting in increasing global alarm.
According to the Arab News, East Jerusalem and the West Bank declared a strike to denounce Israel’s aggression and to mourn the dead people.
Reports said that more than 100 Palestinians have been injured in the recent wave of violence in the region.
Earlier, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned on Tuesday Israel’s escalation and aggression in occupied Palestinian territories and against the city of Jenin.
Riyadh also confirmed the KSA’s complete rejection of the grave violations committed by the Israeli army, expressing deep condolences to the victims’ families and to the people and government of Palestine. It also wished the wounded a speedy recovery.
