ISLAMABAD: Federal Defense Minister Khwaja Muhammad Asif said on Monday that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran was heading gradually towards a complete political failure as all his decisions were proving miscalculated and wrong.
Addressing a news conference, the minister rejected PTI’s objections over Mohsin Raza Naqvi’s appointment as the caretaker chief minister of Punjab.

Khwaja Asif congratulated Naqvi on assuming new responsibilities and wished for free and fair elections in Punjab under him.
He said that the Election Commission took the decision as per law and the entire process of the appointment of the caretaker chief minister was done according to the constitutional provisions. The minister said that the nominees presented by PTI and others were not suitable for the post.
