Denmark Keen to Invest in Pakistan’s Mining Industry

ISLAMABAD: A delegation of the Danish Business Group has shown interest in investing in Pakistan’s mining industry.

The interest was expressed during a meeting of the visiting delegation led by Ambassador of Denmark to Pakistan Jakob Linulf during a meeting with the Federal Ministers in Islamabad on Sunday.

The Ministers said huge investments can be made in Pakistan’s minerals sector. Minister for Petroleum Musadik Malik added that Pakistan will welcome any foreign investment in the mineral sector.

Minister for Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb also assured to extend every possible cooperation for investment in the country.

Minister for Privatization Abdul Aleem Khan describes Danish investment as encouraging, stressing it will have a positive impact. He said the government wants to promote business activities with the cooperation of the private sector.

Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan added Danish’s cooperation in the mining sector and bilateral business activities will improve the country’s economy. He added Denmark is Pakistan’s important business partner and we want to see this cordial relationship grow.

CEO of FL Smidth, Mikko Keto, said they will move forward with more suggestions and profitable projects in the mining industry.
