Djibouti Awards Highest Honour to Saudi Arabia

DJIBOUTI: The Republic of Djibouti has awarded its highest honour, the “National Independence Order of June 27th, Commander Rank,” to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its development support in the country through the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.

President of Djibouti Ismail Omar Guelleh presented the award to SFD CEO Sultan Al-Marshad by Prime Minister of Djibouti Abdoulkader Mohamed.

Al-Marshad was in Djibouti to sign an agreement to provide SAR 6 million to rehabilitate the Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Dialysis Center in the country.

He thanked Djibouti’s President and Prime Minister, highlighting the 40-year relationship between the two nations. The SFD has financed various development projects in Djibouti.
