PYONGYANG, North Korea: The DPRK Missile Administration successfully conducted a test on June 26, involving the separation and guidance control of individual mobile warheads. This test is crucial for the rapid development of missile technologies.

Overseen by Pak Jong Chon, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), and Kim Jong Sik, first vice department director of the WPK Central Committee, Central Committee, the test was conducted in a 170-200 km radius using the first-stage engine of an intermediate-range solid-fuel ballistic missile.

The test confirmed that the separated mobile warheads were accurately guided to three coordinate targets. Additionally, the effectiveness of a decoy separated from the missile was verified by anti-air radar. This test aims to secure Multiple Independently targetable Reentry Vehicle (MIRV) capability and is part of the administration’s normal activities for rapid technical development.

Senior officials emphasized the importance of enhancing MIRV capability, calling it a top priority for the WPK Central Committee. They stressed the need for scientific and technological steps to further improve the effectiveness of decoys, marking a significant step in bolstering the DPRK’s missile forces and advancing its missile technologies.
