On the Sicilian hills of Contessa Entellina, the grape harvest is already underway, around 10 days earlier than previous years. Higher temperatures on the southern Italian island mean the grapes have matured faster. It’s an unprecedented reality for the prestigious Donnafugata vineyards who began harvesting on July 22. Though the quantity will be lower than previous years, the quality should still be excellent, according to the winemakers. AFP
