Weather Update: Dry, Cold Weather Expected in Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi

ISLAMABAD: Most parts of the country are expected to experience predominantly cold and dry weather, with upper regions likely to see very cold and cloudy conditions. However, isolated areas in Gilgit-Baltistan, northeast Punjab, Kashmir, and adjacent hilly regions may experience light rain, thunderstorms, and light snowfall over hills.

Morning temperatures in major cities were recorded as follows: Islamabad at five degrees Celsius, Lahore at twelve, Karachi at twenty-two, Peshawar at six, Quetta at one, Gilgit at minus one, Murree at zero, and Muzaffarabad at six degrees Celsius.

In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, partly cloudy skies are expected with chances of rain, wind thunderstorms, and snowfall in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula. Meanwhile, Jammu may experience rainy weather with thunderstorms.

Morning temperatures were recorded as follows: Baramula, Pulwama, and Srinagar at minus three degrees Celsius, Shopian and Anantnag at minus two, Jammu at nine, and Leh at minus thirteen degrees Celsius.
