Dry Weather to Prevail in Pakistan during Next 24 Hours

ISLAMABAD: The Met Office has predicted mainly dry weather in many parts of the country during the next 24 hours.

However, rain with wind and thunderstorms is expected at isolated places in Kashmir, North Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan.

 

Minimum recorded temperatures

The Met Office recorded the minimum temperature of -07 °C Celsius in Leh and -03 °C in Kalam, -01 °C in Gupis, Astore, and 00 in Malam Jabba and Skardu.

As per the synoptic situation, a westerly wave affects the country’s upper and central parts and may persist for the next 24 hours.

 

Weather and air quality index

Ass per the AQI, the air quality in Lahore is 142 US AQI, 109 in Rawalpindi, 183 in Faisalabad, 59 in Muridke, and 71 in Mangla. In Sindh, the air quality in the provincial capital Karachi was recorded at 118 US AQI and 138 in Mirpur Khas while air quality in Islamabad stands at 110. In K-P, air quality is 83 in Peshawar and 61 in Abbottabad.

According to the Met Office, a maximum temperature of 9 degrees Celsius (°C) was recorded in Islamabad, 15°C in Lahore, 22°C in Karachi, 11.5°C in Peshawar, 9.5°C in Quetta, and 7°C in Gilgit.
