E-Health System Introduced for Islamabad Police

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Capital Territory Police has introduced an E-Health System carrying modifications and improvements in primary health facilities and health care programmes for capital law enforcers.

On the recently-launched “Capital Police E-health System,” Inspector General of Police Islamabad (IGP) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan said that the force is at high risk of health hazards due to old age and demanding duties. Capital Police personnel are vulnerable to attract diseases of heart attack, blood pressure, and mental stress, Dr Khan added.

IGP said that this system would help to guarantee prompt medical examinations and treatment for the officers and personnel of Islamabad Capital Police.

Dr. Khan also said that this pilot project of the E-Health System will operate under the supervision of DIG Headquarters and that it will be completely operational by December 31, 2022. According to a statement made in this respect, the system is being introduced to assure police personnel fitness by lowering health-related hazards.

Facilities of E-Health System

This E-Health System is to provide better health facilities for the staff and will raise the police’s morale, which would ultimately increase the performance of Capital Police.

A database on every resident of police lines headquarters will be created as part of this system, which is being launched from Islamabad. People who live on these sites lawfully or illegally would also be classified using this data.

For currently employed police officers, a health care system would be implemented, and in accordance with international norms, medical exams and medication would be delivered via a telehealth system.

According to the newly launched E-Health system, medical examinations for police officers would be required annually, and the relevant doctor would recommend medications and relaxation periods for the police personnel. The tasks would be given to the officers in accordance with the advice of the medical staff.
