ECP Denotifies Former Prime Minister Imran Khan from Six Constituencies

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Friday denotified chairman PTI and former Prime Minister Imran Khan from six constituencies.

As per the notification, the Election Commission of Pakistan stated that the Commission “is pleased to de-notify” Imran Khan from NA 22 Mardan-III, NA 24 Charsadda-II, NA Peshawar-V, NA 108 Faisalabad- VIII, NA 118 Nankana Sahib-II, and NA-239 Korangi Karachi-I.

It added that the decision was taken as per Article 223 (2) of the constitution of the country. The notification said that the above seats have become vacant under the Article 223 (2).

However, the ECP said that PTI’s leader Imran Khan will hold NA 45 Kurram seat.

It may be recalled that former Prime Minister Imran Khan won six seats out of seven in by-elections that were held on October, 16, 2022.
