Eid-ul-Fitr Being Celebrated Today in Pakistan and Regional Countries

ISLAMABAD: Muslims across Pakistan and other regional countries are celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr today (Saturday) with great enthusiasm and religious fervour.

The day will begin with the Eid prayers being offered at various mosques, eidgahs, and open places across the country.

The Ulema delivered sermons to the congregation, highlighting the significance and philosophy of Eid-ul-Fitr.

In Islamabad, the main Eid congregation will be held at Faisal Mosque, where top government officials and foreign envoys of Muslim countries will offer Eid prayers.

Special prayers will be offered for the prosperity and progress of the country and the welfare of the Muslim Ummah.

Similar congregations will be held in Karachi, where the main Eid-ul-Fitr congregation will be held at Gulshan-e-Jinnah, and in Peshawar, where Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP Haji Ghulam Ali and Caretaker Chief Minister (CM) Muhammad Azam Khan will offer Eid prayers at Governor House.

In Quetta, more than 200 Eid prayer congregations will be held at open places, Masajid, parks, Imambargahs, and EidGah, while the main Eid congregation will be held at Eidgah Toghi Road.

Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo and Chief Justice Balochistan High Court Justice Nahim Akhtar will offer Eid prayers at the Governor House.

Arrangements for Eid-ul-Fitr

The government had taken stringent security measures to maintain a peaceful atmosphere in the country on the occasion of Eid. The Sindh Government had made security arrangements in Karachi, while the government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan had also made foolproof security arrangements.

Eid-ul-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan, during which Muslims fast from dawn to dusk. The Eid festival is celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm, with Muslims exchanging gifts and sweets and visiting friends and family.

The Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations in Pakistan is a testament to the country’s cultural and religious diversity, with people from all walks of life coming together to celebrate the festival in peace and harmony.
