NARAN, Pakistan: Eight members of a Pakistani family died while 10 others sustained injuries as their van veered off the road and fell into a ravine near Babusar Top, in Kagan Valley.
The heart-wrenching incident took place at the scenic Geti Das tourist destination in District Diamir at approximately 3:30 pm on Friday.
The ill-fated van was moving toward Rawalpindi when it collided with an approaching vehicle. The crash caused the van driver to lose control, leading to the vehicle skidding off the road and plunging into a deep ditch.
The victims were members of the same family hailing from Sahiwal. The injured were swiftly shifted to Chalas for urgent medical treatment. The bodies of the deceased were transported to Naran Hospital to complete necessary procedures. The authorities have already notified the relatives of the victims, according to the media reports.
