LOS ANGELES: American rapper, Eminem has strongly reacted to the use of his Oscar-winning track by a politician during his election campaign saying his music should not be politicized.

Eminem sent a letter to music licenser BMI after the video of the Republican Presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy rapping his song on stage at the Lowa State Fair went viral on social media.

Eminem in the letter had asked that BMI should remove his songs from its contract with Vivek.

Later the BMI took action and sent a cease-and-desist letter to Vivek’s campaign lawyer last week according to which Eminem Works should be excluded from the contract immediately.

It also said that from now onwards Vivek cannot use any of Eminem’s Works in his election campaign.  If the politician found using Eminem songs it would be considered as a material breach of the Agreement, for which BMI reserves all rights to claim damages.
