ISLAMABAD: England star Nat Sciver-Brunt has consolidated her position as the number one batter in the MRF Tyres ICC Women’s ODI Player Rankings after her match-winning ton in the final ODI of their ICC Women’s Championship series against Sri Lanka.
The 31-year-old’s 74-ball innings of 120 that helped her team win the ODI in Leicester by 161 runs to clinch the series by 2-0, has taken her to a career-best 807 rating points, which is the highest for an England woman player in ODIs since July 2009, when Claire Taylor had reached 814 points and Sarah Taylor 812 points.
Sciver-Brunt, who did not bowl during the series, though lost her leading position in the all-rounders’ rankings, slipping to 3rd.
Australia’s Ashleigh Gardner regains the number 1 position while West Indies’ Hayley Matthews has secured the second slot.
Sri Lanka’s Hasini Perera has advanced 26 places to reach 57th position after scores of 31 not out and 32 in the last 2 fixtures while England off-spinner Charlie Dean is another gainer from the series, her career-best haul of 5 for 31 in the third ODI taking her to a career-best twelfth position.
Leg-spinner Sarah Glenn, who finished with 5 wickets in the series, has moved up twelve places to 52nd.
Pakistan Batters in ICC Women’s ODI Rankings
Pakistan batters Bismah Maroof and Sidra Ameen have both gained 3 spots after helping win the match in Karachi by 8 wickets.
Bismah is ranked 22nd after her not out 60 and Sidra is 25th after posting 68.
Nashra Sundhu (up 1 place to 15th), captain Nida Dar (up 2 places to 19th), Diana Baig (up 2 places to 24th) and Sadia Iqbal (up thirteen places to 50th) are the Pakistan players to move up the bowling rankings.
South Africa, who prevailed 2-1 in the series against Pakistan, see their players Tazmin Brits (up eleven places to 62nd) and Nadine de Klerk (up sixteen places to 85th) move up the batting rankings.
