SRINAGAR, Occupied Kashmir: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has accused India of unlawfully transforming occupied Jammu and Kashmir into an open-air prison since August 5, 2019.

As per the Kashmir Media Service, the APHC’s statement in Srinagar highlights the BJP regime’s use of military and police forces to wage a campaign against Kashmir’s oppressed people, instilling fear to coerce compliance.

The APHC emphasizes that the lives, property, dignity, and honour of Kashmiris remain under threat due to the substantial presence of Indian troops in the region. Fundamental rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir have been stripped away by the Indian government, claims the APHC.

Decades of human rights violations by Indian troops have intensified significantly since August 5, 2019, escalating state-sponsored terrorism and atrocities, according to the APHC’s statement.

Urging the United Nations and other global entities, the APHC calls for India’s accountability regarding its brutal actions in the occupied territory. It implores these bodies to intervene in settling the Kashmir dispute, thereby securing enduring peace in South Asia.
