Envoy Asks Social Media Influencers to Promote Ideal Conduct Among Pakistanis in UAE

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE Faisal Niaz Tirmizi has asked the social media influencers to play their active role in educating Pakistanis living in UAE to show an ideal conduct. The ambassador, expressed these remarks during a gathering of Pakistani community and social media influencers at an Iftar party at the Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai, UAE. He said the positive conduct should be promoted while giving due respect to laws, rules, norms and traditions and policies in the UAE.

Lauding the Dubai government’s social media platforms titled “Emirates Love Pakistan”, the envoy said that social media played a key role in today’s world by facilitating information sharing, communication, and networking.

The Ambassador said that about 1.8 million Pakistanis living and working in the UAE were a source of livelihood for as many individuals and families. He asked Pakistani community members to work jointly for positively representing the country.

The ambassador remarked that together they need to develop a positive image of Pakistan while living in a multi-ethnic, multi-religious and multicultural society in the UAE.  He said that UAE and Pakistan enjoyed historical ties spanning over a period of more than 5 decades and stressed the need to strive for further strengthening the bilateral ties between the two nations.

Consul General Hussain Muhammad and other top officials of the consulate also attended Iftar party.
