RIYADH: Eritrean conjoined twins Asma and Somayya Jaafar Abdo have arrived in Riyadh with their parents for separation assessment, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Sunday.
According to the SPA the initiative was taken on the direction of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The twins have arrived at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on a medevac plane along with their parents.
They were shifted to King Abdullah Specialist Children’s Hospital at the Ministry of National Guard for further tests, to explore the possibility of surgical separation.

Head of the medical team Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah and Supervisor General of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) expressed gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for this noble humanitarian cause.
The parents of the twins tanked the government and people of Saudi Arabia for the warm welcome and hospitality they received upon their arrival in the country. They expressed their confidence in the capability of the Saudi medical team.
