Ethiopian Envoy Calls on Pakistan Investors to be Part of Delegation

ISLAMABAD: Ethiopia’s envoy to Pakistan Jemal Beker Abdula called out to Islamabad business people to join a delegation that is scheduled to visit Ethiopia around the start of 2023 in order to explore markets of Ethiopia.

Abdullah mentioned that the delegation would visit Ethiopia through Ethiopian Airlines; whose maiden flight from Karachi is scheduled at the beginning of next year.

Speaking beside Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), the Envoy stated that it was the need of the hour that Pakistani businessmen and investors explore markets in Ethiopia which provide opportunities in numerous sectors including manufacturing, agriculture, agro-processing, tourism, mining, textile, and health sector.

He added that his country was exporting clean energy to its region’s countries including Kenya, Sudan, and Djibouti.

The Ethiopian Grand Renaissance Dam being built on the Nile River has nearly been completed and is set to produce 6,500 MW of electricity. – APP
