Ethiopian Envoy Felicitates Pakistani Nation on 77th Independence Day

ISLAMABAD: Special Envoy and Ambassador of Ethiopia to Pakistan, Jemal Beker Abdula, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the government and people of Pakistan on the occasion of their 77th Independence Day.

In his message, the Ambassador highlighted the remarkable growth in bilateral relations between Ethiopia and Pakistan over the years. He expressed admiration for Pakistan’s rich history, vibrant culture, and exceptional people who have achieved excellence across various fields, including science, technology, politics, diplomacy, and sports.

He particularly noted the recent achievement of Arshad Nadeem, who won a gold medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics, as a testament to the nation’s brilliance.

Ambassador Abdula emphasized the strong and enduring bond between Ethiopia and Pakistan, grounded in shared history, cultural values, and common development goals. He expressed his gratitude for the warm hospitality and camaraderie extended to him and his team during their stay in Pakistan.

“The exchange of knowledge, cultural experiences, and the appreciation of each other’s cuisine has been a deeply enriching journey for me,” he remarked. “Pakistanis are a wonderful people, and I am thankful for the friendship and cooperation in areas such as politics, economy, science and technology, and climate change.”

The Ambassador reaffirmed Ethiopia’s commitment to further strengthening and deepening the bilateral relationship between the two nations. “Through special initiatives and enhanced cooperation in various sectors, we can usher in a new era of partnership and mutual prosperity,” he concluded.
