‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ on Top with 11 Oscar Nominations

ISLAMABAD/HOLLYWOOD: With 11 Oscar nominations, the sentimental and strange movie “Everything Everywhere All at Once” took the top spot among those nominated for the 95th Academy Awards on Tuesday. 

With nine nominations each, “The Banshees of Inisherin” and “All Quiet on the Western Front” came in second and third.

Blockbuster’s “Avatar: The Way of Water” and “Top Gun: Maverick” each scored nominations for best film, and there is a large number of star power among the nominations. Both Lady Gaga and Rihanna were nominated in the category of the original song (for tunes from “Top Gun: Maverick,” respectively, and “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”). 

Those actors include Jamie Lee Curtis in the category of best supporting actress for “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” Judd Hirsch in “The Fabelmans,” for the same type, and Angela Bassett, who was nominated in the same category for her role in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,”

Oscar Nominations for Best Actor 

Brendan Fraser in “The Whale” and Colin Farrell in “The Banshees of Inisherin” are nominated for best actor; and in the best actress category Cate Blanchett for “Tár,” Michelle Yeoh in “Everything, Michelle Williams in “The Fabelmans” and Everywhere All at Once.”

The nominations were announced by Riz Ahmed, who won an Oscar last year for his work in the short film “The Long Goodbye,” and Allison Williams, who most recently appeared in the horror movie “M3GAN.”

The Academy Awards On Sunday, March 12, the Academy Awards are scheduled.
