Exhibition Explores Hajj Via Art

JEDDAH: An amazing display titled “Journey Through the Holy Sites” has opened its doors in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, offering a charming exploration of a pilgrim’s experience during the Hajj.

This exclusive exhibition features twenty-six artists, including 3 talented photographers from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

People can visit the exhibition from June 12 to 23 at Terhal Hall in the port city. The display coincides with the Muslim holy pilgrimage to the holy city of Makkah. In collaboration with the Islamic Art Museum and Oyoun Jeddah Charity Association, this showcase presents more than 100 exhibits, ranging from paintings to books, photographs, and manuscripts.

The primary aim of this event is to reflect Riyadh’s unwavering resolve to ensure an accessible journey for Hajj pilgrims worldwide. The aim of the display is to highlight initiatives executed to facilitate Hajj for all individuals.

Dedicated to the holy city of Makkah as a historically and economically important city, the display covers the journey from the medieval age to the Ottoman period and up to the current day.

Dr. Zuhair Maimani, a business consultant, highlighted that the display aims to present the collective efforts of Islamic countries in making this holy ritual a resounding success. He further underscored the role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) in serving the Two Holy Mosques and the Hajj pilgrims. According to Arab News, the visitors are welcome to explore the unique exhibition from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m local time.
