ISLAMABAD: As Pakistan experiences extreme weather patterns, major metropolises like Lahore and Karachi are grappling with heavy rainfall, while Peshawar is bracing for upcoming showers. Meanwhile, Quetta has witnessed a significant drop in temperatures, with the minimum recorded at 10 degrees Celsius.

These abrupt weather changes are prompting residents to adapt, with Quetta residents already turning off their fans as winter approaches. Similar adjustments are expected in other cities in the coming weeks as winter draws near.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued forecasts predicting rainfall with thunderstorms in various regions, including Zhob, Barkhan, and Musakhel. However, most districts in the province will experience hot and dry weather, according to the Met Office.

Across the country, the PMD anticipates rain accompanied by wind and thundershowers in Punjab, the Pothohar region, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir. Additionally, isolated heavy rainfall has been observed in Lahore, Faisalabad, and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the forecast period.

Quetta, the capital city of Balochistan, witnessed a significant temperature drop on Sunday morning, with the minimum temperature recorded at 10 degrees Celsius and the maximum at 27 degrees Celsius.
