WASHINGTON: After Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Kamala Harris met on Sept. 10 for their first presidential debate, pictures of Harris have been shared on different platforms of social media alongside a false claim that an earphone was fixed in her jewelries.

“I told you Harris had an earpiece,” reads the caption, opens new tab of a social media post sharing a picture of Kamila Harris with the earring on her left ear circled in red as well as a screenshot of an article about “smart earrings.”

Candidates were not permitted props, pre-written notes and interaction with their campaign staff during commercial breaks on Tuesday’s debate hosted by ABC News.  However, the Harris campaign refused to comment over the matter, Reuters reported.

Icebach Sound Solutions stated in a Sept. 13 media release, opens new tab that based on analysis of images from the presidential debate, “We have come to the conclusion that these are not our H1 Audio Ear Rings.”

Former President Donald Trump stated on Thursday that he would not attend in another presidential debate against Kamila Harris ahead of the Nov. 5 race.

There is no evidence that an earphone was fixed in Harris’ jewelries during Presidential Debate. The jewelries Harris wore to the Sept. 10 debate and multiple public occasions in the past look visibly different from the earphone-earrings featured in different social media posts.
