Fact About Nawaz Sharif’s BA Degree
However, an official from the University of the Punjab has clarified that the document circulating online is not Nawaz Sharif’s 1968 educational certificate. It is simply an application that Sharif recently submitted to obtain a copy of his bachelor’s certificate.
The official, who requested anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter, shared the original application sent by Sharif on June 7. The university promptly issued a duplicate bachelor’s certificate to Sharif the following day.
The document in question is clearly labeled as “Application Forms For Certificates.” Additionally, the official provided a copy of the Rs2,990 deposit made by Sharif to obtain a copy of his bachelor’s degree.
The official further explained that Nawaz Sharif was a student of Government College, Lahore, which was affiliated with the University of the Punjab at the time. During that period, the University of Punjab was the sole university responsible for issuing educational degrees.
