WASHINGTON:  A footage of U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris calling Donald Trump “unstable” has been deceptively cut to show that the remarks were directed at Biden, Reuters news agency reported.

Kamala Harris sat down for an interview with Fox News host Bret Baier on October 16 in an effort to appeal to voters especially from Republicans.

The altered video, shared on social media, shows Baier asking Harris regarding Biden’s “diminished” mental faculties, to which Harris replies by saying: “He is unstable.”

However, Reuters reported that during the interview, the Vice President was responding to Baier’s question regarding Donald Trump, not President Joe Biden.

In the original video, Baier asks Harris: “You called Trump, he’s misguided. You say now…,” to be interrupted middle by Harris, who says: “he is unstable, Bret.”  However, a spokesman for Fox News did not directly reopen to a reply for comment.

VERDICT

The video has been altered. A footage showing Harris calling Biden “unstable” was digitally changed.
