LAHORE: JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Wednesday stressed the need to focus on the Palestine issue, expressing solidarity with the Palestinians.
Addressing the National Palestine Conference, he said that the United Nations and the Islamic world must advocate for the freedom of Palestine.
Fazlur Rehman also extended a warm welcome to esteemed guests from Palestine who attended the event.
JUI-F chief highlighted the historical context of the Palestine issue, saying that Israel’s presence as a state lacked historical precedence. He condemned the UN’s recognition of Israel.
Jinnah’s Stance on Palestine Issue
Referring to the founder of Pakistan’s Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s initial opposition to Israel, Fazl underlined the significance of the Al-Aqsa Mosque to the Muslim Ummah.
He also condemned alleged war crimes committed by Israel.
