ISLAMABAD: Maulana Fazlur Rehman, President of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam and Head of the ruling coalition Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), on Sunday advised the government to stand firm and not be lenient with PTI chief Imran Khan.
Addressing a press conference here in Islamabad, he said that the government should constitute a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to probe the lies of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan.
“A JIT should not be formed on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s lies but also the disclosure of state secrets”, he said, adding, “A drama is being played on how many bullets the lair person has received because the bullet has no splinters”. He was referring to Imran Khan’s statements after an assassination attempt against him during the PTI long march in Wazirabad.
Fazal further said that is a contradiction in the doctors’ statements, and it was also surprising that Imran Khan’s bone fracture was treated in a cancer hospital, Shaukat Khanum.
He added that “PTI Chairman Imran Khan has surpassed Bollywood film actors Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan in acting.”
