ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday expressed confidence in his party’s victory in the February 9 general elections, claiming that the sun next to the election day would rise with the message of prosperity and development in the country.
Addressing a public rally in Kasur, Punjab Province, contesting the election, the PML-N leader expressed his confidence while saying that the huge crowd showed a winning feeling in advance and in case of registering a victory in the election, his party would soon initiate the development projects across the country.
It is worth mentioning here that PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif, who was also present on the stage, is contesting from the constituency of Kasur.
Nawaz Sharif Criticizes PTI Government
The PML-N Supremo reiterated that his party was committed to taking the country back on track. He also criticized the previous PTI government while claiming them as “fraudsters,” adding that they pledged to the masses to give them houses and employment, but all were just mere slogans.
He further said that the previous PTI-led government took the country to a dismal economic quagmire and lamented that if his government had not been toppled in 2017, all the citizens in Pakistan would have gotten employment and job opportunities.
Nawaz reaffirmed his vision to confer Pakistan the status of an ‘Asian Tiger’, once his dream, and urged the youth to play their role in taking the country forward.
Nawaz Sharif also pressed upon Shehbaz Sharif to build a Danish School in Khadian if he came into power and developed the roads in the city like those in Paris.
