KARACHI, Pakistan: Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh, convened a significant meeting in Karachi to assess the progress and achievements of major maritime organizations, including the Port Qasim Authority, Karachi Port Trust, and Pakistan Marine Academy.

The discussions centered on critical performance metrics, identifying ongoing challenges, and exploring opportunities to enhance service delivery and productivity within the maritime sector.

In a proactive step towards stakeholder engagement, the minister also held a ‘Khuli Kachehri’ (open court) session, allowing maritime industry stakeholders to voice their complaints and grievances directly. Sheikh emphasized the government’s commitment to promptly addressing the concerns raised, reinforcing the administration’s dedication to improving the maritime landscape in Pakistan.
